Spent a little time over at DU this morning. What a collection of mental patients. Their hatred and sickness knows no bounds. Every victory is a defeat. They even treat the news of our returning heroes with disdain. SICK BASTARDS!

I have to leave for a couple hours, but I wonder if you can answer a question.
Can satelite images, like a VCR, be "rewound"? Someone, in a vehicle, dropped off our POW's at that site. Sat or J-Stars images may have captured the moment.
Can we rewind it -- then go forward to see where that vehicle went?

Two anti-American protestors rate a photo? Did AP miss the major rallies for the troops around America this weekend?
Thousands of patriots showed up to support the troops yesterday in DC alone. C-Span chose to air the rally when most families wouldn't be able to see it - 11PM, Palm Sunday Eve and early this morn.
Americans showed up in spite of the press....and the patriots outnumbered the ANSWER press and prof-promoted, well-financed, rent-a-mob socialist rally going on down the street. (^:

That was a good story on Fox about the peaceful protest and meat shop (and others) that have opened.
I have a question: Why can't CNN do stories like that? CNN refered to that protest as an 'anti-USA' protest. Even Bob Arnott on MSNBC called the protest a good sign as a freedom of speech.
The people were complaining about the looting and loss of electricity. Half of the businesses are still closed and most probably don't have generators like the meat market did. If I lived in Baghdad right now I'd be complaining to the govt too. Now would that mean I want the Fedayeen Saddam back?
anti-USA protest. Same 'ol CNN.

I apologize... I'm just so burned at the disrespect the lamestream press pays our fighting forces that I'm short tempered about it. Thanks for understanding that.
Being a military family we have always been very careful about giving people their proper respect with regard to their rank. There were even AFN commercials on television in Germany about that.

Thanks for clearing that up, Cboldt. Of course it changes their designation. Some rules, I think, will change. The war on terrorism is not going to end this decade. Geraldo was packing, don't you think? Wouldn't you?
Embedded reporters had to be unarmed. IIRC, battlefield journalists go unarmed. That's why they aren't legitmate "deliberate targets." I suppose there is a fine line, e.g. Geraldo carrying a sidearm, but not using it in a "combat fashion." Once journalists act as soldiers (actually worse, because they aren't wearing a uniform), the whole lot of them is put to a new risk.
In this case, CNN ran a check point and fired at the enemy while doing so. Now, if I was a Red Cross worker, and some butt-head ran a check point, and fired at the enemy while using a Red Cross ambulance, I'd be some kind of upset.
CNN's actions put all the other journalists at additional risk. Doesn't surprize me that CNN would go out on it's own to drum up a story, and "to hell with everyone else" in the process.

President Bush is awesome today to reporter asking same question for th 500th time : Did you watch my press conference friday? Good, then do I have to answer again?
"The POW's were sustained by the Almighty, prayer is good and powerful"
I saw that too on Fox News while I was making a late breakfast. Wonder if the other channels carried it or if they tried to censor it?

Shucks, thanks. I think the President speaks better off-the cuff than when reading a prepared speech.
Isn't this a great response to yet another "looter" question?
Yes. You know, it's amazing, the statue comes down on Wednesday and the headlines start to read: oh, there's disorder. Well, no kidding. It is a situation that is chaotic because Saddam Hussein created the conditions for chaos. He created conditions of fear and hatred. And it's going to take a while to stabilize the country.
BBL...dinner calls.

I wonder how that a-hole reporter who asked PFC Lynch's dad how he felt about everybody else in her unit being killed feels now...
