[history]
I want to thank you for my existence. I want to thank you for your sacrifices, and for your courage, because without your heroism, this world would indeed be a different place. Were it not for the brave soldiers who liberated my father from Dachau, and my mother and her family from the Nazi slaveholders, I would not be here today. Nor would millions of others, all of whom remain indebted to you.

Ok, get me the box of tissues. This is beautifully written, and expresses what so many of us want to say. My in-laws also suffered in Poland in that era. Thanks so much for posting this. Thank you, soldiers.

(hands you a tissue) - I'll need one too!
To: Valin
Forget the tissues...I'm just letting the tears roll down my cheeks. Imagine getting that hug and a wink...WOW...and the young say they don't have anyone to admire. Stop drooling over athletes and Hollywood....rub your eyes and wake up.....Real Heroes are living amongst you....get to know a veteran. Get to know a real hero! God Love Them All. I surely do.

Dear Valin,
Many years ago I had the oppurtunity to visit the Dachau site.
It was a very solemn place, and I was moved.
Until reading this post by you I had never to my knowledge "known" anyone who was "connected" to this place of atrocities. It was very real and we should all never forget. Unfortunately, people do forget, and now we are in a War because of weak and selfish political leaders
Thank you for your post!

The protesters have no interest what-so-ever in the truth.

I just get livid!!!
God DAMN saddam....to the ninth circle of hell.
