He then got into his Lincoln Navigator, which was driven by another man, and got about a half-mile away when they turned back to get Strawberry's personal belongings, which he'd forgotten. A guard handed him a plastic bag and he was off again. No comment.

"He's doing well," Rouson said before Strawberry's release. "He's been clean for a very long time, longer than ever before." Translation: its been 15 minutes since he got a hit.

Strawberry, 41. . . . I wonder if he could still play. After all . . .
Strawberry fields forever.

He'll be back. Mark my words.

In related news, former baseball player Darryl Strawberry was arrested this afternoon on charges of possession of crack cocaine and solicitation of prostitution.

A guard handed him a plastic bag. . . . Yeah, not the best choice of words.

Strawberry plans to move back in with his wife, Charisse, and his three children in a Lutz, Fla., gated community. If I were her, I'd ask him to use a full-body condom.

. . . a series of non-drug infractions, including . . . being disrespectful. It was a Strawberry rhubarb.

And he took the $100. Since it was a check I suppose he couldn't use it on the next street corner. Should have just left it there along with his "plastic bag".

Poor Darryl. God gave him a great homerun stroke... and no brain.

Keep the cell vacant so's He won't have to adjust to new surroundings upon his reincarceration.

University of Maryland has his son coming in to play Basketball next year.
By all accounts, he's a good kid.
You have to credit the guy that, at least.
Man, his son is gonna hear it at road games at Duke, though.....
