Hi texasbluebell, another Freeper emailed me this earlier. But you have to consider the source.
DEBKAfiles Exclusive Middle East sources have tracked down the top Iraqi leaderships bolt-hole. It is a large 1,600-room luxury resort with 600 meters of private sandy beach in the Mediterranean coastal town of Latakiya called Cote dAzur De Cham Resort, prepaid and chartered in toto by Baghdad.
The group may include Saddam Hussein or his sons, but this is not confirmed.
The hotel is located close to the Assad family villa.
Top Iraqi officials are reported hiding there since March 23, four days after the US-led coalition invaded Iraq. They are guarded by a Syrian commando unit armed with anti-air missiles while Syrian naval missile boats secure the port

Interesting, of course considering the source is two fold.
1. A middle east source even babble might know?
2. They are so rarely right?
Heck maybe they are due to be right on something?

a facility and a setup like that would be so easy to spot its not even funny. if saddam made it to Syria, he is now healing from plastic surgery in a private hospital someplace, soon to move on someplace else.

I ran across another article about Latakiya, Syria. Interesting. Guess who also has connections there? One of Bin Laden's wives:
"Bin Laden's wife and son lived in the Alawite stronghold in Latakiya in an arrangement that gave refuge to bin Laden's close relatives." from
Syria has allowed hundreds of al-Qaeda men to settle in Lebanon By Ze'ev Schiff

Thanks much for the post #3903!
I wonder if it's true. Debka seems as credible to me as many other sources, and the truth is probably partly in there.
Very interesting!
