Renuart explained in detail how the Iraqi Info Min. was still able to broadcast and what does Julia H. ask following the briefing, "Why are they still on TV?" - loosely paraphrased...

 

FN:  Col. David Perkins, ran operations going into Baghdad, re. what our guys encountered along the way: "this is the SRG (Spec. Rep. Guard)..what they did really all the way into the city...RPGs, anti-tank missiles, suicide death squads, (we faced) thousands of dug in infantry and on the rooftops...shows the courage and the tenacity of the American soldier...this is a war that is being fought at 5 and 10 feet and (we are) coming out on top every time."

 

"The soldiers are reacting magnifenctly...doing it with split-second timing and unbelievable accuracy and at the same time deal w/ innocent civilians...they are performing wildly beyond expectations..."

 

"This is NOT one-sided. They greatly outnumber us. They have a huge amount of munitions. (At the) outset it's one-sided in their favor...(End one-sided in our favor) "strictly because of the training, courage and tenacity of the American soldier."

BAG (Baghdad Intl.) is one giant "blue zone" I guess real soon, resupply is gonna be top priority now with a forward base so close to the main part of Baghdad just a few miles away, my guess is a whole LOT of AH-64's, Super Cobras and even Spookies are gonna be based at BAG soon.

And if Algore were president (barf, choke, cough, gag), it would still be the "red zone" and there'd be more atrocities committed against the Iraqi people, more innocent Americans killed on our soil, Blix would have gotten a raise, the French and Germans would be happy because they would have not had their oil contracts interfered with and it would not have come out that they were supplying chemicals to build weapons in Iraq, the Russians would have been happy because we wouldn't have learned they supplied banned weapons, technology, and services to the Iraqi military.....China would not have been exposed of providing illegal missiles....I know I've forgotten a couple things.....
