I'm sure we'll hear from AmericanInTokyo or one of the other Japanese Freepers if this is big. It could be an accident.

I think it's shorter to Pyongyang from Iraq than, say, San Francisco.

The US Naval Base at Yokosuka, Japan is south of Yokohama on Tokyo Wan (bay). During WW II it was the headquarters of the Japanese Imperial Navy. We have used it as a Naval base since the conclusion of the war.
When I was stationed there we often had anti-Nuclear, anti-US protests outside the main gates. While these were large protests they were not violent and we passed through them like the wind.
The Carrier Battle Group stationed at Yokosuka is at sea and is in the Persian Gulf.

Ping, do you have any news about this? You okay?
To: martin_fierro
Thanks, martin_fierro. (I almost called you m_f, but thought it wouldn't make you too happy... hah!)
It may be transparent, but I've been mulling over the idea that with the taking of Iraq's petroleum, for a little while only, coupled with the recently expanded troop strength there, it might make a good staging point for a North Korean offensive. If it comes to that.
Idle thoughts from a civilian...

If there was any truth to this the market would have reacted by now.

Bull-hockey. So far, King Ghidorah is 1-5 against Godzilla. Heck, his record was so bad that Toho had to cast him as a good guy in the latest movie to even give him a chance.
The Big G Rules!!
To: TBall
Fox has it on their trailer. Explosions set off "outside gates of Navel Base."
To: Jonah Hex
Look, the big G always gets a boost from the producers. In a fair fight, King Guidra would kick Godzilla's butt every time.

small stuff.
usual crude launcher found by citizens. citizens heard two explosions.
launchers (two) were hot and smoking, and were on the grounds of an elementary school
yamato police bureau (for ayase town, kanagawa prefecture) states strongly it was a japanese 'gerira' (guerilla) launching. no injuries. two projectiles aimed at Atsugi NAS of the US Navy. no projectiles found.
does not merit concern at this time.

You're wrong. Yokohama is a brand of tires.
