I think it's shorter to Pyongyang from Iraq than, say, San Francisco.

It may be transparent, but I've been mulling over the idea that with the taking of Iraq's petroleum, for a little while only, coupled with the recently expanded troop strength there, it might make a good staging point for a North Korean offensive. If it comes to that.

They are about equidistant. Alaska is closer to N Kor.
