Fox Crawl: Russian Poll 58% want Saddam to win Iraq War, 3% support United States. Distrubing-- This poll must be taken in San Francisco.
Maybe, SF does have a large Russian enclave...

I figure capturing the airport (intact or not) immediately prevents Saddamn from slipping OUT of his bunkers (remember the tunnels) and escaping by air out of country.
Leaving now is limited to helicopter (as if he could hide a chopper!) or truck/car/tank/APC. Each is lsower and can be found in the desert outside the city easier.
(Obviously, if he's dead, who cares, but still; it's best to cut off escape. Also, having the airport allows rescue and transport of wouded immediately, resupply of small/lightweight items; infiltration of Spec Ops/Delta/SWAT-type teams easier; and allows resupply/emergency landing of aircraft - even if they're not actually based at theairport out of fear of mortar/cannon fire.)

You all have got to see this - IraqiTV is running a "music video" (and I use the term loosely) that glorfies Saddam....http://www.webcamsue.demon.nl/
Check about halfway down the list on the left side; the folks who run this web site have it so well camoflaged, that I can't break it out of the frame, nor find the actual clip address...

Fired? For dangling bait???

The UN rep is giving a crap report on the Humanitarian Program. They're saying the problem is a future problem. Now what the hell does that mean. The ordinary Iraqi people had supplies sufficient until the end of April. The rich left town. The store owners shipped their valuables out of Town.

C'mon Peach. Haven't you heard? The Iraqi army is kicking our cans.
The report definitely sounded like a serious breach. However, it is entirely possible that Koppel's report is seriously dated and that those vehicles were refueled by the time the report was broadcast. In any event, the area around the airport is hugh. 6 km by 2 km. A great staging area to refuel and consolidate.

Now that is uncalled for.
The SF Russians are Republicans - to the last one, almost.

I figure capturing the airport (intact or not) immediately prevents Saddamn from slipping OUT of his bunkers (remember the tunnels) and escaping by air out of country. This makes sense except for two things. First, there are military airports to the northwest, southeast and in the middle of the city. Second, is it even possible for any non-coalition aircraft to be anywhere in Iraq without our knowing about it?

FN: Bret Baier: Defense officials telling us this new bombing is more bombing on Iraqi troops... 722 bombing runs were aimed at Iraqi bad guys today Wow. I didn't know that. Thanks.
That'll soften up their desire for 'resistance' . . .
