Pvt Lynch gave a good accounting for herself, her nation, and her training. Don't mess with an American, no matter the size, age or sex. We are the fiercest warriors ever seen.
hahaha her story reminds me of that humorous email that was circulating shortly after 9-11--the one about the TX Marine who entices enemy soldier, then 2, then 10, etc, to come up the hill and fight him. They'd go disappear. Finally, one sneaks up to see what happened . Goes back to his commander and says "No wonder, there are two of them."

I don't know if anybody has reposted it yet, but there was a great link to a BD map earlier this thread. If not posted soon, I'll dig it up.--- really good for this period of time, it seemed to me.

Wanna bet the city name will be 'Bushville', or some such?

I just went back and read the Dr. Bob reports from last night (starts at #152 for newly awakened Freepers).
I was glad to read the part saying he had a cameraman with him and will be filing a full report later today. Sounds totally riveting...especially the part about the man, woman and her babies.
I've said b4, I think Dr. Bob is the best of the embeds. He's a great reporter, a brain surgeon, speaks Arabic. And, if I'm not mistaken, flies his own plane...isn't he the one NBC always brings on for air crash news?

He's had on a suit and tie the last couple of days. Very nice!

Unfortunately the President still has to play the Diplomatic Game .. Edwards is their Senator, so ergo he gets to come long. Don;t have to like it, but we do have to live with it. Is Liz Dole going too?

Iraqi Minister says we're not near Baghdad!
Knock, Knock, Knock...
"Can Saddam come out and play?"
To: commish
I think Edwards has been really supportive. It got him booed in California at a Dem function.

Iraqi Information Minister has just announced that the US and British have surrendered to Iraq and Iraq has hired many former Coalition soldiers as Security to police the capital. Did you see the (pretty young thing) Hong Kong reporter at the daily CENTCOM briefing asking Gen. Brooks where the US forces will retreat "if it comes to that?" He refused to consider the question.
I would suggest another answer: "We'll be leaving someday, Ma'am. Before we do, however, you'll be able to get on a tour bus in Baghdad and for a few bucks visit all of Saddam's bunkers, palaces, party headquarters, and torture chambers, or whatever is left of them."
