Iraqi Minister says we're not near Baghdad! Just out of curiousity I pulled out my trusty BILL CLINTON PARSOMETER (tm) that thanlfully has been sitting idle since Jan 20, 2001. I ran the Minister's quote's through it and here are the results :
*** Statement is correct. We are not near baghdad. For all intents and purposes we are IN BAGHDAD!"

They interviewed an old Iraqi woman (about 60) about a month before the war started. She said they have had wars for 35 years. She said "it's just another war", and she went on her way.

The crawl on Fox this morning mentioned that Pvt. Lynch's father stated she had not eaten in "about 8 days". I wonder if anyone has mentioned to Rick Leventhal that many Ameicans are fasting in a show of respect and an understanding of the sacrifice of our troops.

Good morning, Situation Room! I love the new layout on the first page! A little something for everyone.
Don and Roma on WLS are talking about PFC Lynch, too. She is amazing! The more we hear about her the more "hero" doesn't even seem like a strong enough word to describe her.

I see Saddam's statue and I want to see it gone!
Me too...I want to see hoardes of Iraqi citizens start pulling it down, as news cameras from around the world watch ..... like we watched when the citizens tore apart the Berlin Wall....what a symbol it would be.

The Iraqi information minister has said that reports the coalition troops are near Bagdad are totally ridiculous. "We are driving them back they are in retreat on all fronts.."
"No they have not taken any city..."
"They are not outside of Baghdad..."
"No it is ridiculous that they have taken Saddam International.."
"Of course they are not on 5th and Main..."
"Infidel -- they are not on the 3rd floor..."
"They are not outside my doo..."
To: Naspino
Sounds like I'm listening to Aaryon Brown or Judy Woodroffe on CNN instead of the Iraqi Information Minister.

I agree with you --- I would bet a six-pack ( ;^) that we'll be hitting Baghdad airport from several directions this evening and night...
I don't expect much else other than assuming classic "bombardment" positions around Baghdad - our concentration will otherwise be elsewhere.

Or... we could get some folks from the quartermaster corps to fashion a statue sized dress and matching handbag to place on the statue out of damaged parachute material. That would be about as good. I am thinking pearl earings made out of mashed potatoes might be a good touch as well.

Good morning Kitten! The above post was in reference to something on the Bagcam just now.

Iraqi Information Minister has just announced that the US and British have surrendered to Iraq and Iraq has hired many former Coalition soldiers as Security to police the capital.
