the press was less antagonistic today. I pray it lasts. Yes they were, Quilla. Even the press must realize what's at stake as we move into Baghdad, and Jessica - what an awesome representative of the US military! Maj. Gen. Brooks reminded the press Jessica was rescued thanks to the brave souls who risked their lives..."loyal to a creed". I hope he reminds them of this daily.

I just turned on my Bag Cam and someone is standing there waving at me. Is that the statue of Saddam? Wouldn't a bomb drop right now be great?

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it's worth posting for those who haven't heard it.
In Chicago on WLS-AM the morning hosts, Don and Roma, have a son in the Navy. They got a very disturbing e-mail that said among other things, "I hope your son comes home in a body bag" and of course it was signed, "A Peace Protestor". They got a ton of calls of support for thier son. One of them was from "Angie" who was born in Iraq and lives in the Chicago area now.
Angie describes what it was like in Iraq and why she supports the war. Click to listen to the call
In case I did that wrong (I've never posted a sound link before!) here's the link the page the call is on...

Difficult to tell if the webcam noise is near the camera (wind and local background) or distant big booms.

on and on about 100's of civ casualties and deaths at some location he US is looking into allegations that it bombed a Baghdad Red Crescent maternity hospital, reports the BBC.
The maternity ward of a Red Crescent hospital in Baghdad, as well as other civilian buildings, were hit yesterday during an American air raid, according to Red Crescent sources and a Reuters reporter. They estimate several deaths as well as around 25 wounded; at least 3 Red Crescent doctors were among the wounded. A number of surprised motorists who were on the road at a usually (relatively) calm time (9:30 AM local) were also killed in the strikes, according to the Reuters correspondent, who reports seeing charred bodies occupying 5 destroyed vehicles.

morning comes too early.Amen!
So cool about the Red Sox helping you send your hubby a consolation prize for missing the game on the 22nd. (^: I missed Spring Training entirely this year...and our town used to host both the Red Sox and Twins. Nothing like a ballpark on a clear, spring day.
