Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera has been expelled from his embedded position, for giving away secrets on the air, CNN reported this morning.

I think everyone here is way too rough on Geraldo. He was doing a great job and has charisma. So what? He was very Pro-America since 9-11, and I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt. He had no history of treasonous behavior, as Arnett did. Boy, talk about fair weather friends.

I find this regrettable. I think Jerry has done a commendable job in Afghanistan and in Iraq.

Since losing a great many friends on 9/11, ol' Jerry has had a real epiphany. He has been a staunch cheerleader for the men in uniform.

I agree. He HAS been a staunch cheerleader for our Troops, and I have enjoyed his reports, sigh. But I didn't see the report about "giving away locations" etc. I can see where this would be SO EASY for a reporter to do. Even Rick Leventhal was warned about that once. Reporters tend to have "none stop mouth" attacks and just blurt out stuff without thinking. Sheesh, for my proof, just look at the STUPID questions that are asked at the Pentagon briefings, LOL!

I will miss Geraldo's excitement that he brought to the Troops. But I am glad to see that our military is being strict about this......Lives are on the line here!!!

He was on the air last night drawing maps of our troop movements in the sand. I wondered why he was allowed to do it, now I see that the problem has been corrected.

I saw that too and wondered how he was getting away with it.
