Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

FNC has a former military planner, Linn Todd, on saying, essentially, that we haven't planned properly. Guess he used the BBC and CNN for research before his appearance.

OMG! I forgot about her, poor thing. Wish I could go back and edit it...
It will probably get her going again, what with the CNN BagCam centered on the SoldiersGirl Commemorative Tower, and all.
My bad. I'll think long and hard before I again post in such haste. I promise...

Taxis like the one they used to kill our soldiers at the checkpoint. Fool me twice?

I said the other day that FNC seems to bring out the second string "analsysts" at night.

Aaron was just interviewing a guy talking about the troops' "rush" up to Baghdad. The man interpreted it as an indication that CENTCOM believed we could just blow on Baghdad and it would fall over.
Does it ever occur to these people that CENTCOM actually gets weather forecasts and JUST MAYBE the push was to get the units up into "pre-cleared" positions before the sandstorms rolled in???? Wouldn't that make sense?

I have to believe that Daily Mirror story wasn't written in a negative light for Blair. They're the "Not in Our Name" folks who hauled Jimmah Cahter over there to dis the U.S. on the eve of battle. They've been virulently anti-war througout. They put Blair on the tabloid style front page with blood all over his hands.
