Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I almost agree with your analysis in entirety. The one picky thing I will niggle at is your "...saw the forecast for that sandstorm blowing in last week. They decided it was time to hit the road before we got socked-in..."
It is my suspicion that the rapid push north to engage the RG was one of the major branch points in this plan from the beginning, and the sandstorm did not affect that at all. The storm did, however, slow our supply line a day more or less, I suspect, but that does not account for the present status of the battle.

RE: Gregg Jarret on Fox is asking stupid quesitons
Calling all Viet-Nam vets. Poor Gregg just asked his guest general about the battle in 'hugh' (Tet offensive).
Isn't anyone at Fox old enough to know that Hue was pronounced HWAY?

That news about the bodyguard was put out by the Pentagon (or CIA) last night. The bodyguard has never been seen away from SH's side. They found this very interesting. I found the interview that Russert had with Mr Combover interesting, when asked if Saddam was still alive he said that he thought he was.

Well, Greg jarrett isn't, since he is old enough to be my son.
I think Viet Nam has become a legend for the press corps.
"One day, once again, we will contol the military and foreign policy of the USA, just as we did in Viet Nam..."
I personally think this is part of the indoctrination at journalism schools.
To: pitinkie
Maybe a public (BAGCAM) execution?
To: pitinkie
LOL!

To: pitinkie
