Given that our kill ratio was somewhere around 300 to 1 (depending on which Somali casualty estimate you accept) I think the professor might be onto something. If we have a million encounters in Iraq with that kind of kill ratio we'll win easily... Of course there aren't enough Iraqis to support a million of those encounters but that's fine too, even fewer lost Americans.
