Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I doubt they'd want to call in an air strike and spread around whatever they were handling that required the chem suits. We'll probably never know how it's done but surely our guys have a plan for just this problem.

They had two warnings in his unit last night, had to put chem suits on. He didn't say how many they had seen or if they had taken them out. But even if that were the case, there is absolutely no reason to be confident that there aren't more of the same.

Try the CBS News Bag Cam. See how many times you can count the Adam 12 style police car drive by. His beat must be one block.

This is such a sad commentary to think they have to ask about our support. Vietnam lives on... Not as long as I am alive .. I will scream it from the roof tops ..
THANK YOU TO OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS!!!

I hope he writes a book when this is all over. It would have to be at least 1,000 pages long. It would also be a fascinating read.

Sorry . . .

So they haven't had a lot of good sleep or rest recently. That more than anything else is why I think they may just hold in place close to the outskirts of Iraq and let the fresh units of 4 ID and 2 Armored Cav drive the stake in the heart of Saddam. That's really gonna suck for the RG to sit and get pounded by our air and arty for a week or two while we wait for the 4rth.
WHat is the 4rth's nickname? I remember the 3rd was the "3rd Herd". I even worked at Fort Hood in early 1980s a time or two but can't remember their nickname.

It's 1AM here on the east coast. I'll be back for post 2000 sometime around 9:30 in the morning. See you then.

It's chilling ot me also. I've no doubt that W, Rummy, et al will not hesitate to do what needs to be done should the Iraqis choose the chem weapons route.

'Evening, everyone.

spread around? they are getting ready to launch it on to us. wouldn't it be better to blow it up while the stuff is within their ranks, rather then raining down on us? these weapons have a relatively small kill radius.
To: hmmmmm
I'd definitely want to read it if he did! Btw we havent seen much of Ollie other than snippets here and there. I wonder what the troops he is with are up to
To: abner
Can you change the title of this to day 9?Nice to know I'm not the only one who does that...
