Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I think we should call them "Paramilitary Murder Squads." That way, we can use the abbreviation "PMS"
That's very disturbing. I like it.

Iran is unhappy we are operating so close to their borders. Too bad. Why? We're on the Iraq side of the border.

Let's terminate Magoo Blix' contract a bit early.

Look at it from their perspective. They've got their own internal unrest to worry about, and a lot of Iranians may well be looking across the border wondering whether we might help them out, too. Not to mention that W named Iran as one of the Axis of Evil -- and Iraq is living proof of what happens to Axis-dwellers. They'd probably be uncomfortable having a potential invasion force poised on their borders.
Welllll, as long as we are in the neighborhood, anyway....

I tried to thank you all last night for providing me the URL to the cbs web cam.
I had it all written out and hit post and the little AOL symble just kept going around and around. I didn't try again because in the past if you posted again not thinking it was posting you could end up with a half dozen postings.
Well, wouldn't you know it, it didn't post this time.
Were you having problems with slowness on FreeRepublic last night? I finally gave up.
Thanks again for the URL.

Has there been any more reports on the Iraqis being seen in Chem. suits?
Or an update on that story.

I vote bothersome. Did you see their signs? "No Blood For Oil", myohmy...international rent-a-mob-useful-idiots following the same playbook.

Most contracts can be nullified for "non performance".
Seems more than justifiable in this case.

Welllll, as long as we are in the neighborhood, anyway... I'm sure that the Marines don't want to leave a debt unpaid too much longer.

Welllll, as long as we are in the neighborhood, anyway.... (smirk) Yup. Hell, malls thrive on drop-in shoppers. Why shouldn't invasions work the same way?

The question is whether Blix' contract is like an MLB one.
