THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP.

Various reports on this have only been posted about 8 times so far today, and a few times a day over the last week. ;)

My brother in law is a tank commander in the 3rd Armored Cav. He left today. The 4th Infantry has been held up because of the issue w/ Turkehy

One question I'm unclear on. Is the 3rd ACR a part of the 4th Infantry Division, or is it a unit unto itself under III Corps?

Ok did a search and did not find any mention of the 3d cav.
Cancel this if it is redundant and cluttering up the forum.

The 3rd ACR is an independentarmored cavalry regiment unlike, say, the 7th Cavalry Regiment whose daughter battalions are part of the 3rd ID.

I was in the 11th ACR in Germany. ACR's are good, highly trained and motivated units. Full of hard-chargers. Most combat arms career-oriented officer and NCO's know their way to top is thru the ACR's

Just curious if anyone knows where the Big Red One is? Seems like they'd be the first ones in on this thing.
