Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

When you use the
"@" symbol with letters around it, the HTML-autodetect sees it as an email address. The red words are links, so it sees your fake-swear as email links.
Just like mine....

(Saddam...your time is almost up..my hubby and son are on their way to kick your a$$ out of Baghdad!)

I think they are links; although I'm unsure that you'll get a reply from the e-mail addresses they're linked to. :)

Why are my bad words highlighted in red? It's because of the @ signs in the middle. Auto-html conversion is trying to make them "mailto:" e-mail addresses. Do a mouseover of one of them and look at the lower left corner of your browser. Like this: D@mn.

I heard Don and Roma (talkies in Chi-town) say that Dan Rather basically powdered Saddams a$$ in his interview compared to the questioning by reporters at briefings.
To: RummyChick
please take the American Idol talk to another thread. no offense, but it is off topic.

How come the news isn't carring the piece I just saw on 60 minutes II about Umm Oasr. The folks were thrill to see the Americans.. I guess there isn't enough gloom and doom in happy liberated people.

Ya know, my dad has said that he's liked CBS's war coverage the best of the Big 3(he usually just watches FNC, hitting the mute button whenever the liberal guests start talking!), and I kinda blew it off. But now I'm going to give CBS another chance(I never watch them).

Colmes of Hannity and Colmes just said that Amnesty International wants to know if US hitting the Iraq TV building is against the Geneva Convention.
This is where Colmes loses all credibility. This has been discussed over and over and over. Command and control targets are legitimate targets in war. Saddaam is in uniform, is CinC of Iraqi forces. Therefore he is a legitimate target. If Colmes wants to be taken seriously, he has to simply say that this is a frivolous inquiry, made only for political purposes.
Then, and only then, can we take any liberal seriously. This is like a 5YO continually nagging to get what they want, even when it's contrary to reality. When they start acting like adults, they get treated like adults. Until, then, we treat them like the arrested children they are.

Maybe Dan Rather got the frequency!

hehehe... it's NSA, flagging words for followup. They'll knock on your door a little later this evening. :-)

Can somebody spin me up on the latest? Earlier today I heard a 1000 vehicle convoy was heading south, then the Pentagon denied it, then I heard we bombed it. Anyone know the truth here?

Hahah,,when I first got puter, email junk stuff came to me alot. I got a message from one of those "see hot sex" sites. I deleted it and worried for weeks I was on an FBI list of perveerts,,,my husband encouraged my fears till I got so anxious I couldn't sleep.
