Everybody in network TV - and I mean EVERYBODY - was saying that "Oh, once the war starts, CNN will go back on top again. They're just too good, too experienced, too impartial, too well-deployed, yadda yadda yadda." As such, this is probably the biggest, most imporant victory in the history of FNC. Just as Gulf War I put CNN "on the map" (though IMHO it was Challenger that sealed CNN's legitimacy five years earlier), Gulf War II will force the rest of the TV news business to treat Fox News seriously, whether they like it or not. They can't simply dismiss FNC as a "bunch of biased right-wing yahoos" any more.

Fox News has been captioned 24/7 since the liberation began. They are the ONLY news channel to do so. Hopefully they have gained some deaf viewers as a result of this.

I have been emailing them for a long time now asking and begging them to start captioning 24/7. So, it really pleases me to see this happening.

Email them if you don't mind with your thanks. Thank you!

I remember one cnn (no caps) headline that blared across the screen for a long time during some "shock and awe shucks." During the bombing, they blared out "Ambulances in Baghdad ready." They wanted to focus on all the poor inoccent children Bush was trying to kill.

They love focusing on the poor refugees, the left-wing freak protests, and whenever something bad happens, like the POWs. They find that more interesting than stories aboiut the THOUSANDS of Iraqis prisoners.

Gee, I wonder why Americans so far don't like it? Even though it's available in more households.

"CNN spokeswoman Christa Robinson downplayed Fox's ratings advantage, saying Nielsen shows that more people at least sample some of CNN's coverage during the day."

I "sample" it only when I want to see/hear leftists comments that get me all riled up and gung-ho again.

They HAVEN'T been on-the-ball and I do my darndest NOT to watch their crap.

FNC broke the story of the Basrah uprisings 15 minutes before MSNBC or CNN. They are doing a great job.

Fox's ratings are higher because its viewers watch for a longer time.

LOL - I don't switch my channel.

It's the WAY Fox presents the story that encourages loyalty.... CNN will NEVER understand fair and balanced.

What this article fails to mention (and to FNC's credit) is that Fox is in WAY fewer homes than CNN. A lot of cable companies (such as those in San Francisco) don't carry FNC. I'd like to see the numbers on that reported!!! By the way, does anyone know the statistics???

Thats because the MAJORITY of us know the TRUTH when we hear it. CNN is really showing their TRUE COLORS in their obvious disappointment when our troops do well.

I used to call it the "CLINTON NEWS NETWORK".. but I'm changing it to the "COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK".

CNN also draws viewers to its Headline News and has a greater presence overseas than Fox, Robinson said.

"We're perfectly comfortable having the biggest audience in the world," she said.

Anybody at CNN who claims to be "perfectly comfortable" getting smoked by Fox News on war coverage is lying in her teeth.

Which brings us to the important issue of credibility.

I sent 'em an email this morning:

Thank you all for your balanced, unbiased, TRUTHFUL coverage of our actions
in Iraq!

We have depended upon FoxNews exclusively since 2000, and have no plans to
switch.

While visiting family members who do not receive FoxNews, we saw network
coverage of the conflict, and wondered if they were covering the same war.
ABCCBSNBCCNN's coverage is so blatantly biased against our President and our
military, it's a wonder the polls in favor of our actions are so high!

Our personal favorites are Britt Hume, Shepard Smith, John Gibson, and your
team of military advisors is simply the best in the business.

Again, many thanks from a diehard viewer!

Sincerely,

Col Hunt is a funny guy, great sense of Buck Turgidson humor. "Suicide by tank". LOL

But I almost vomited last night when the huge head of Aaron Brown, and it seems they zoom in on that guy's face as to make him appear to have more gravitas, but only make his huge head loom larger like an alien spaceship, but he BIT HIS LIP when talking about the POWs. He did a Bill Clinton special, the biting of the lip when giving a somber speech. I laughed a that pompous bore. And to top it off he never mentioned the POWs that got shot in the head for being American. The idiot. He makes me count sheep when he comes on the TV feeling sleepy must get some rest oh I'm tired...

Did any of you notice that the FOX News guys put on their gas masks like clockwork when the sirens go off in Kuwait City, but the CNN guys don't? I think this says something about the difference between the two network's personnel right there. Gee, wouldn't it be a shame if the CNN announcer (like Wolf Blitzer) keeled over and died during a gas attack while the FOX guy kept on reporting?

My wife and I call Fox the "Good Hair" channel, because nearly all the men have full heads or hair and are well groomed.
