Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I guess it is a coincidence that 3 of them had bullet holes directly to the forehead?? Wake up. If you want to see the video go to www.ogrish.com. I just downloaded the video again and tried to watch it with an open mind. I tried as hard as I could to look for signs of execution, but I don't see any wounds that could not have been caused in a firefight. I am sorry. I really was hoping I would see it, but I do not. How about we leave it at that?

BBC: no big numbers of refugees pouring into Jordan. BeebBabe saying that Iraqis are scared to leave because roads are dangerous.

saddam blew his chance for exile
why would they pull the pants down if not trying to indicate they had been raped?
is this some kind of iraqi cultural insult type of thing

You ever spend 4 hrs going in and out of almost every store in the mall (some of them twice) with a 15 year old girl? It can be a fate worse thatn death! ;0)I spent 40 hours doing that one evening...

Fox: Canister of cooking gas exploded. No one injured. NOT that big of a deal.
Here, hold muh propane tank alert

Pants down - my guess is they wanted to check to see if they had a certain medical procedure performed. (i.e. Are they circumcized and possibly Jewish) [ Maybe they aren't aware that a large number of Americans are circumcized ]I haven't seen this yet and the more I hear about it, I am glad I haven't. This is absolutly repelant. I don't know words strong enough to say how outraged and disgusted and angry just hearing the description makes me.

Okay, we'll agree to let you be mistaken

A deers heart is the size of your fist. The kill area on a deer is the size of a dinner plate with the heart in the middle. A deer standing still at 100 yards with open sights you could probably put one shot in the heart, three I doubt. And I'm pretty sure the target wasn't standing their with his helmet off letting them try to hit it.

Anyone hear anything about 2 CNN reporters gone missing?
To: Lauratealeaf
MSNBC reporting the explosion near Bahrain was a cooking cylinder? No one hurt, thank goodness, and initial thoughts that it was a bomb appear to be not so.
Whew.

Yes, 5th Fleet in Bahrain
To: abnegation
BeebBabe whining about the trauma, think of the long-term damage on the children living in fear.
To: Dog
Yes. It's very windy. You'll know the explosions when you hear them. It's a loud BANG

Yes, I would say any explosion in that region....especially if it is reported to be near our 5th fleet headquarters, would result in 'breaking news' until sorted out.
