Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

You have got to be kidding. Well, I guess it illustrates that those people live in a parallel universe.
Aziz a SINCERE person and President Bush is a liar. They're nuts. That is going to take me all day to get over
To: Danette

And don't forget the difference between killed in action and executed and paraded on tv for the sickest of reasons. I saw nothing on the video to indicate they were executed. I think we need to withhold judgement on this till we actually have some facts.

Utter baloney.
To: cyncooper
Didn't I read somewhere, recently, that Al Jazeera was just allowed to open an office in D.C.? And this privilege was used as a "carrot" to get them to comply with our request to stop showing the video?

Cat appeasement leads to more demanding, insistent cries for food. litter box scooping and petting. They already have control of our bed, what more could they want?!
Mine squeezed me out of the bed the other night. What more do they want? Don't give them any ideas. Sabby is sitting on my shoulder as I type this. Captain is lurking in the window fussing at the birds.

Lucky you. Mine is ALOT boy crazy. Doesn't understand why we objected to her sneaking around with a 16 year old boy... but that's another thread for another time. :)

Hackers have taken down Al Jazeera website!
To: Howlin
Some organization has released "casualty" figures for civilians in Iraq and it was 32 injured and one killed? Can that be right? Those figures apply only to Baghdad as opposed to all of Iraq, which is still excellent.

Where in the world did that term, cakewalk, come from anyway? I never heard it before the action started and now it's all over the place.

I am still looking for bombs falling in Bagdad as reported by FOX. I have yet to see anything on the PMSNBC camera other than "wind noise".

I have the 7 minute video and they show a close up...
You can see the soldiers were shot in the head. They were also wounded other places so I'm assuming they were hurt in the fight, and later shot in the head.
Also, all of the soldiers have their pants undone, including the living POW's.
It still makes me as furiuos today as it did before.

...Wall Street sees that this war is not going to be a cakewalk. They weren't listening when Bush spoke over and over and over. It's only been 5 days. WWII took years.
