Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...
TOPICS: Breaking News; Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events; War on Terror

-Ari earns every penny of his salary doesn't he?
He certainly does. Because if I was in his position that would be just exactly what it would be--was, I would have been fired quite some time ago for verbal abuse of the press.

You are kidding me! They are STILL asking if exile would be granted?
Lord, give me strength. I do not know how Ari and all suffer these fools, who clearly are sympathetic to a monstrous dictator.

Whow, Ari is going strong today! What a bunch of bozos. A 5th grade class could ask more valid questions than that sorry group. Anyone else want to craw through their tv and shake someone?
Ok, gotta admit I was disappointed with his sidestepping the the Gitmo detainees.

A couple of years ago, 4 of us sat behind Arnett and a blond bimbett in a GeorgeTown movie theatre. He turned around and talked to us about a book he was writing (must have been out of a job at the time). Any idea if he ever published a book?

Q: What's the Prez doing to keep out Turkey?
A: Prez has ongoing conversations. Our position unchanged. Many reports of Turks at the border that haven't materialized.

"Glorious Past" is very apropo, since the slimy snake has no future.

My house is a mess-Been sleeping on the couch with the TV on all night long.I wake up every hour or so to check out the news, and if anything is happening--I'm up for the rest of the night.Sleep deprived? YOU BET.

I did not follow what he was saying. TV mute, radio on, just read the onscreen "fun facts" about Tariq.
Other posters seem to indicate he mentioned recent events if I'm reading between the lines correctly. Hopefully someone listening can give details.

Why no signs of Jubilant Iraqis??
One of the reasons may be that they know Iraqi soldiers are dressing in street clothes and posing as happy liberation people. How do we discern REAL happy people and the soldiers???
It is against the RULES OF WAR to shed your uniform but then, Saddam uses Stalin's edition.

Now Fox has a split screen showing Aziz and the other guy we've been seeing with the beret (made in France). Wonder if we know his exact position?

If a WMD hit my house, it would be an improvement. MY children are outside picketing, they want food.
Cheese whiz and bologna isn't a good breakfast?
To: Dog
Fox saying Tariq Aziz "just held" the conference and said leadership in good shape and Saddam in control. No analysis given yet if this is regarded as the real thing.
