Sky News Foreign Affairs Editor Tim Marshall said if the claims are substantiated they will in part vindicate President Bush and Prime Minister Blair. In part!!!! Get a clue!

It's not a chemical plant, it's a chocolate chip cookie factory.

Can't be weapons. Blix and Cherac (sp?) assure us that Iraq has no such! Perhaps they'd be willing to go in and sniff around to identify the chemicals.

Justification is a moving target. The French moved the goalposts after resolution 1441. Doubtless they will move it again. If the US found ovens and gaschambers in Baghdad, the French will point out that the corpses were uneaten.

Gee, the inspectors were in Iraq for 12 years and didn't find anything. The military is there for 48 hours and already we're finding the facilities the inspectors couldn't find.
There is going to be much, much more than this in the coming weeks.

Can't wait to see the manufacturers serial number plates on the machinery.

Statement by Hans Blix "This is important development and I'm expecting a explanation from the Iraqi Goverment soon."

Just goes to show that 250,000 inspectors are better than a dozen inspectors.

Hans Blix: "We were told it was a Baby Milk factory..."
To: rhombus
I'm sure Peter Arnett will be there tomorrow explaining it all away as a "Baby Milk Factory".

This article says An Najaf is "around 100 miles south of Baghdad."
But THIS ARTICLE says "...the Iraqi city of An Najaf, which is situated some 225 miles south of Baghdad."
So which is it?
I hate the "fog of war."

The materials purchase records, names of suppliers and packaging slips will be contained in the accounting records within the facility.

100 acres-- we want to know who worked there, where they are now, what they produced there, what foreign firms supplied the banned machinery in use there, and who provided the chemical precursors they used.
