You are so right -- Michael Moore always will be remembered as the jerk who was booed off the stage! Priceless!

I saw the disgusting commie slob Michael Moore saying things, like we had a fictional election, which gave us a fictional president sending us to a fictional war, etc. I wanted to shoot the SOB. I pray his movies go under. However, while he was spewing his lies and hatred, you should've seen the faces of the actors and actress
they were beaming, radiant and happy applauding the fat pig. There were some boos in the background but not enough. Thank you for an accurate account of the response to Michael Moore.
There are some people posting on other threads that everybody booed him off stage. I saw it and that is simply not a truthful account of what happened.
Some people booed..which was great...but in the end they were drowned out by much louder applause when he finished his rant.
It was disgraceful.

I was wrong. Congratulations to fellow New Yorker (Queens) Adrian Brody. I just hope Marty Scorsese gets the best Director Oscar which he SHOULD HAVE WON for "Goodfellas" instead of that poor excuse for a filmaker/actor, Kevin Costner.

Oh God! I don't watch the crap. I made a mistake, big mistake, which I'm not going to repeat again.

I like the calling card idea. Sometimes just hearing the voice is wonderful. I am going to print out those links and put them on flyers for the store.

Best Actor: Adrian Brody, "The Pianist." Uh-oh...he's wearing one of those lapels...

I propose we start a movement to have the Academy take back his award - isn't his 'documentary' full of mistakes?

The samy guy who locked up all the leftie demonstrators at the Republican Convention here in Philly. Go John! Sounds great, thanks.

Michael Moore's acceptance speech about our "fictitious times," our "fictitious President" and the White House's "fictitious reasons" for war with Iraq, the so-called indie Oscars lived up to its rep. This, from the "Spirit Awards" some days ago.
So MOORE didn't even get a new speech for the Oscars!!!! haha!! HE RECYCLED the previous one. Guess he would have had to pay speechwriters a second time for a new one!

Only in the sense that acting and writing talent in Hollywood is fictitious. I guess they have enough special effects and makeup they don't need to act or write anymore...
To: truthkeeper
Plenty of the ones that had given him the standing O had panicked looks on their faces as he spewed. Yeah, I bet they didn't count on him turning so sour so quickly. Oops!

I think they flashed the "Applause" sign and struck up the band while they muscled the lover of dictators off the stage. Perhaps that explains why the booing was drowned out by applause as he finished his rant.
I was disgusted by it.

at least a shout to the troops. i'll take what i can get at this point from these atrocious people.

.but in the end they were drowned out by much louder applause when he finished his rant. It was disgraceful. Oh yes, absolutely. Actually, I think he was allowed to this, he was just the messenger. That's the impression I got.
To: Jorge
I agree with the poster that said they held up applause signs because the orchestra started playing and then the applause started which wasn't very loud. It was obvious that most did not expect him to be so obnoxious!
