When the Moore Boor won, almost everyone stood up and applauded. Very clearly seen.
To: PhiKapMom
well...ok...you have a point there. But I still won't watch that overall debauchery and plastic California phoniness put on once a year by people who are no more important than your or I or OUR careers.

Don't suppose they'll be doing a "Sound of the Oscars" moment on Moore...
And don't forget - he tried to squeeze in his Dixie Chicks/Pope line as the music started to drown him out.

Thanks for posting that! I was in shock to hear any disagreement but the disagreement got louder and louder.
Think Michael Moore overstepped big time and a lot of people were not going to put up with him.
To me the story of the night is the people that boo'd, hissed, and shouted NOOOOOOO!!!! They were not happy with the jerk and it showed.

I missed the whole thing and my sister called to tell me about it. The one part I would have loved to see.

That was SO worth it ... the ones who weren't cheering him on (and they were in the minority) looked as if someone poured ice down their backs!
Me, I'm glad they left him on till the 45 seconds went, because the BOOS and shocked looks accompanied it. People won't believe how anti-American he is until they hear that. Cockroaches wither in the light. Now, let's be sure that the boos don't get "Hillary"ed out of the audio track.

There are a LOT of Bush supporters in Hollywood----I was honestly SHOCKED. I say this based upon the resounding shouts of "NO" particularly to Moore's statement about the election! It sounded like those things you see from the House of Commons or something, where all these people start shouting down the speaker, and shouting NO!
Lets be honest here. Most of these people value their personal revenue streams MUCH more than they value their Leftist ideology. We're in the middle of a war that has 75% public approval being led by a President who has an approval almost that high.
They see Michael Moore's comments as a threat to their livelihoods and, therefore, lifestyles. You DON'T want to get the American public ticked at you during times like this.
Steve Martin's comments were right on target ... they may all like and agree with Moore, but with him being bad for business and all ... well, time to give the Teamsters a ring.

Looks like most of the boos came from the further back seats. When they panned all the big stars they were not clapping or booing, some smiling (Harrison Ford was one). I am sure Ford is one of THEM (I believe his quote was that he was for regime change in Iraq AND in the USA), but I believe he was laughing AT Moore.
And no one around Ford seemed amused. They looked like they were at a pool party and just saw a floating turd. Which they did.

Interesting that Michael Moore, whose POS movie was a giant wad of staged scenes, altered archive footage, reedited interviews, incorrect statistics and deliberately misleading narration, used the word "fictitious" so much. Talk about projection! He probably didn't even know that since he had shown up for the Oscars, they'd started announcing that they were already finding the "fictitious" chemical weapons plants. What a giant, bloated idiot.
BTW, I have to watch this because I have to write about it. Not my choice.

BONO SUCKS!!! Dittoes!
Phoney baloney crap.
Where is Ted Nugent when you need him?
To: MinuteGal
But I will bet Michael Moore was shocked to get the negative reaction he did from some members of the audience that wouldn't put up with his crap.
I know I was shocked!

I was sorry to see him getting a standing O, but delighted to hear him get bood. Absolutely worth tuning in for that! Who knows where they came from but there were a lot of stoney-faced celebs out there.
Thrilled. Moore probably did more for our cause than his.
