I heard the boos (barely) over my yelling at the TV.

Steve Martin gets in the shot of the night:
"Oh, it was so sweet backstage...you should have seen it. The Teamsters were helping Michael Moore into his limo."

See, I knew there was a reason I love the guy. :-)

Most sat on their hands during Moore's screed. But he was damn near shouted down! He was booed and hissed, with loud cries of "NOOO"

(For those who didn't see it, Moore said we have a fictitious president who was elected in a fictitious election who is fighting a war for fictitious reasons)

Interesting choice of words from someone who specializes in fictitious "documentaries"

As soon as Moore said "fictitious president, fictitious election" or whatever, the shouts of "NO" and the BOOS were so loud that I wouldn't be surprised if he was drowned out in the theater. They were LOUD and HEARTY.

I thought Steve Martin was hilarious with that statement about putting Michael Moore in the trunk. What a wonderful thing to hear the Hollywood community boo Moore for his comments!

I saw some folks cheering him on though...

Completely in bad taste and I hope that bastard chokes on a chicken bone.

If Jack Valenti had any balls he'd kick Moore in his fat a$$ and tell him never come back to La La Land... oh wait, Valenti was a LBJ-man.

If we are all conservatives, patriots, love our country and support our President, and with THAT kind of a comment from Hollywood just now, why don't we just let this thread die at #150? What are we, gluttons for punishment?

I'm outta here.

Did the guys who accepted the award immediately following Moore say the winners died in the 9-11 attack?

How disgusting that they had to follow Moore....

Sure they were embarrassed and actually surprised that the big fat idiot would say what he did.

Remember - these people are products - pawns - to be bought and sold to the highest bidder - US! And they fear the backlash from US!

The rantings of a lunatice. Bush - fictitious president, fictitious election, illegal war, should be ashamed of himself, "your time is almost up," shouting and screaming, blah, blah, blah.

Get the picture?

* Visit Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals and nursing homes. Volunteer your services to honor veterans who served in past conflicts.

Mail from family members and loved ones has always been encouraged and the military mail system will continue to work hard to get that mail to servicemembers overseas.
