Look, this is not the only Moslem serving in our military. Therefore I don't see the Moslem part as a major problem. Now, if he's recently arrived (in the last five years or so) from the middle-east, I would agree that we need to have our heads examined for letting him enter the military.

I read a story the other day that there are a whole bunch of ex-Kuwaitis in our military who became US citizens after the Gulf War, and signed up for the army with the sole hope that they would get to go fight in Iraq someday.

We had a very few muslims in our unit in GW1 and heard at least one say he wouldn't fire on Iraqis. They believe this crap and I think it is a relevant part of the problem. Do you want that guy covering your back?

Fact: No organized religion is free of atrocities committed by individuals or groups of individuals in the name of said religion.
Fact: Religion does not fly planes, pull triggers, nor throw hand grenades. People do. Cf. "guns do not kill people, people do."
