Actually, a simple Gram's stain, available at any hospital and almost any medical clinic with a microsope, could determine in 5 minutes whether this powder is actually bacteria, and whether it COULD be Anthrax.
Detailed testing might be needed to help establish the origin of the strain, etc.

Exactly, the antiAmerica protestors will just claim we planted it. Doesn't help anything. Actually, less than meaningless. Who cares about the anti-American protesters. Nobody listens to them.
Anyway, any soldier who finds the stuff can testify before Congress.

I won't say the US is always right...Bush I and xxxlinton as examples for starters. I agree with your preface though.

Why would he carry it in an envelope?
A few speculations: as a signal to cells here to attack the postal system again, as a warning to us without showing all of what they've got up their sleeve, etc.

Senator Tom Daschle (D) when hearing about the anthrax.
I am deeply saddened the anthrax was not used on American soldiers.

What made this suspect to me was that ewing posted the same think and linked the home page of MSNBC. His post has been turned off since.

I believe our guys have had the anthrax vaccine. Don't know about the Brits or Aussie's.

Yes, however THOSE BBQ's are on the inside of the walls. Those large cylinders are not rockets. They are in fact large tubes used for storage of BBQ fuel.
The fact kerosene is also used for rocket propellant is completely irrelevant.

Well, technically they haven't shown weapons yet. Just the materials that cause the destruction. So we are wrong, they are right.
Gotta love that Blixter guy, he was right all along.
Is his name Wolf, by any chance?

Wonder what the FBI is gonna do when this stuff matches up with the stuff that was sent to the Senator's in D.C.? They would definately lose some credibility if the samples matched up. Wonder how long it would take them to apologize to Mr. Hatfill?

I think ewing's was locked because it was a duplicate, not because it wasn't true.

About 20 people (most of the MSNBC audience) have already posted they saw Bob Arnot give the report live. So did I. What is suspect about it? He just said it 10 minutes ago. Do you think he's out there with a link to the Internet to file the story? What a dope. Sit down. The only thing suspect is your acuity. This is a direct ping to myself and you. If this story is discredited, I'll expect your public apology.
Likewise, if this story is proven true, I will tender my public apology to you.
That said, I've lived through enough wars to know that the only thing that flies across the globe faster than a lie is a rumor. I do not believe my skepticism is unwarranted or wrong.

They are handing this stuff to soldiers in envelopes, yet are capable of firing artillery shells and missiles with it, but they don't do that? I'm not buying it.
If we assume the anthrax is genuine, the purpose of this type of a delivery could be to create a stand-off, without inviting a tit-for-tat WMD response.
That said, I'm waiting for confirmation of the germ.
To: redlipstick
You are right, but why did he provide a BS link??
That is my beef, and why I wonder if this story is true.
