FN: Steve Centanni w.Navy Seals:
Mission went off flawlessly..to capture the oil terminals, prevent oil spills. Offshore terminals...22 mile offshore connected by a pipeline to the Iraqi shore. Preserved by the Navy Seals....then boarded by the Marines the terminals...searched for and found some explosives, small arms...and 23 people on the main terminal, 18 on the other...taken captive...believed these captives may have been planning to blow up the terminal, spill the oil. Surrendered without a fight. No shots were fired. Environmental catastrophe averted.

.... looks like General Tommy Franks is a Master Aviator as well (5000+ hours in flight). Wonder what he flew ? I did a quick Google Search and found a quick biography of him. I didn't see anything about his flight experience, but was reminded that he graduated from UT-Arlington (my Alma Mater), and got his B.B.A. degree there, same as my degree from there !

here is a great pic
World War II veteran George Wilson, of Bethlehem, Pa., right, places his Jubilee of Liberty medal he received from the French government for his bravery on D-Day, at the entrance of the French Embassy in Washington Friday, March 21, 2003. Wilson returned it Friday to protest what he called France's cowardice for opposing the war in Iraq (news - web sites). Wilson received the medal in 1994 at the 50th anniversary of the Normandy invasion
I am just posting a few pics while we wait for news

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I watch that show. The marine (Josh) was asked how he was going to put a country spin on a disco song since that was the theme for next week.

Is Franks currently a 3 star general? If so, he's already earned his 4th!

Lt. Eddie Martinez needs to arrest these people. Trashing private property is NOT free speech. Where are the Taos Veterans, parents - patriots to take these nitwits in hand?
Taos is an art community known for its Hispanic and Pueblo Indian traditions
Left-wing press....ever the political panderers.

A Marine of the U.S. Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Fox Company 'Raiders' replaces the Iraqi flag at the entrance to Iraq (news - web sites)'s main port of Umm Qasr on March 21, 2003 with the Stars and Stripes and the flag of the Marine Corps. U.S. Marines briefly raised the Stars and Stripes flag over the new port area of Umm Qasr on Friday after facing tougher than expected resistance in and around the southern Iraq port. Some time later, Marines returned and removed the Stars and Stripes. No reason was given for the decision, but Washington has consistently stressed that invading U.S. forces want toliberate Iraq, not occupy it. REUTERS/Desmond Boylan
