Oh, the trigger finger thingy.... yeah, we're all trained not to put our fingers on the triggers til we need to use it... I have a suspicion they were about to use 'em.

Nothing wrong with a little war dance to get the blood going, and heck, all the people you see dancing in the streets with AK-47s usually have THEIR fingers on the trigger..... :)

And they have much more accidental shootings, too. It actually takes more discipline to NOT have your finger on the trigger because it feels so natural just to stick you ringer inside the trigger guard and hold that trigger.

As a Cherokee I'm not offended in the least. I heard somewhere that more Native American's, as a percentage, serve in the armed forces than any one else.

I'm with you! Where is that unit based? Are they a reserve unit from OK?

Sorry to disagree with all you chest beaters out there, but based on my experience, and the image we are supposed to present over there, I have a serious problem with this display.

1. Change the uniforms, grow a few beards, put towels on their heads, and who do they look like?

2. This looks like locker room antics prior to a football game. This is no game.

3. This show ignores every tenent of weapons safety they have been taught, or should have been.

There ought to be a lot of reprimands going around. This is unprofessional.

I don't see how this could be offensive either. These are not juveniles playing a game or doing something for laughs -- they are warriors that are in the midst of putting their lives on the line. That they would use a Seminole war dance to draw strength at such a time is a tribute to the Seminole warrior.

You bet we're proud!
I'm not a full-blood, but if you get me riled up, you'll know for sure I'm an Indian!

Ya know, after seeing all those years of arabs with guns up raised it's good to know they are finally going to understand what that brings down upon them.

(Sitting here with weapon in lap.)

If you look on the left side of picture #3....it seems that one of the guns is NOT holding its clip.

You must have meant to respond to another poster, as what you wrote is a non sequiter to anything in my post.
Also, in this case, it is a magazine, not a clip.

Keep in mind that this was their pre-jumpoff "ceremony". If you look closely, you can see that there are empty magazine wells in the pistols - although the trigger finger bugs me, too.
