L, I wanted to mention to you today that I got in on the end of a "Blue Star Flag" presentaion on (I think) The Today Show. There were about six or seven mothers who had photos of their sons with them who each received a "Blur Star Banner". I didn't catch who presented them, or who the mothers were.
God Bless Our Military
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below are names of some of our FReepers' loved ones who are serving our country. If you have someone you would like to add, please address a post to Billie; Daisyscarlett; Dansangel; Dutchess; Mama_Bear; and we will add their name to this list. As we pray for them, we pray also for all our nations leaders, and military personnel, and their families and friends. May God hold them close to His heart.
~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~
We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.
Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Glad to see the Blue Star flags are getting some recognition, it's a great tradition. I've had several inquiries about how get them. One of the best online is the VFW website.

I am so releived today that this country has stood up to the evil that has defied us for 12 long years since the conclusion of the first Gulf war!
May God continue to bless our Troops and Country.

Mornin' y'all. I need coffee!
Great essay as usual JH2. I just knew on Monday that this would be your topic of conversation. Only thing missing is lil tommy's hypocrisy from his statements about Saddam during the last administration.
I split my time last night watching Fox and then surfin' through all your links to articles about the attack. As I mentioned to you last night, no where in any of the articles is there any mention of this President launching an attack in a "Wag the Dog" fashion. Also, no aspirin factories were bombed, the Chinese embassy is still intact, and no camels suffered a cruise missile in the butt. :)
Meanwhile, I spent a couple of hours this morning outside the recruiting station encouraging our citizens to Support Our Troops. Lots of thumbs up, waves, BEEP! BEEPs! and not a single flip-off.
Now, where's that coffee?

Howdy Pipster. Hold down the fort in Maryland. :)What's the attitude of your liberal co--workers this morning?
Time for me to check out for a while. Logan-sitting begins in a few minutes and that carries a higher priority.
"See" y'all later. dd

Other than a comment now and then, mstly complaining of the continuing coverage of the war that it pre-empting thier soap oprahs, They seem to be quiet today. I'm surprised or maybe they are shocked that the President they revile and resent would do exactly what he said he'd do.
