Fox news Washington correspondent says the Pentagon reports 3 missiles fired. Trajectory indicates 1st missile is a SCUD that was intercepted by the PAtriot
The 2nd missile was a Chinese anti-ship cruise missile that was not intercepted but missed targets and did no damage.
The 3rd "missile" was actually a light aircraft that crashed harmlessly in Kuwait.

Of course our son's and daughter's lives are priceless, its just that a SCUD is about the dumbest weapon out there and my point being I hope the technology is better this time. When you are comparing the cost of the SCUD to the price of a PATRIOT PAC-3 you are making a false comparison. The true comparison is the cost of taking a "SCUD hit" vs. the price of the Patriot.
Similarly, the Dem's are attempting to trap the President into giving them an "estimate of the cost of the War". First, there are too many variables so any estimate wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on. Second, the Dem's won't make the proper comparisons when they finally do see the "tab". They should be looking at the cost to the US economy for the 9/11 attack for starters. We still haven't "absorbed" the effects of that particular attack.

agreed... on both points... To me, Iraq having this missile is a whole other level of concern.

But, but, but, . . . Saddam doesn't have any scuds. Blixie Pixie said he didn't. Said he destroyed them all like a good little boy. Can't be possible. Someone is totally mistaken. The UN must know. How could we possibly know and the UN not know? No way Jose.
