I'm in constant amazement of my Mom raising us 6 kids, who all turned out great if I may say so. I hope mine turn out well, but I'm a bit discouraged. My 14 going on 30-year old is driving me to distraction and when she's not, my 6 year-old frazzles my last remaining nerve. My quiet nights at work are sometimes a welcome, if guilt-ridden relief.

Remember this important thing - Being a parent is not a popularity contest. Be willing to train your children to do what's right, and not just what will make you popular with them. If you keep that in mind - your kids will come out okay.

The oil belongs to the people of Iraq. And France and Germany can't play with it. They surely seem to be trying to find a game whose rules will let them steal it with UN winks and nods ... and turned backs.

Thank you for the advice. I have been working on that very problem with my daughter and trying not to repeat it with my son!

It was just the images on our high volume pages. Is this thread one of the high volume pages?

Thanks for the ping (good morning)
To: Jim Robinson
Thanks, Jim. I was just hoping out loud that we'd still get pictures...didn't mean to cause confusion or problems. Thanks for clearing that up.

This morning I had a parent teacher conference for my eldest son. It was in the school library. I walked through the library doors and looked to my left and the VERY FIRST book I saw was one titled.........PEACE LIKE A RIVER!
I couldn't believe it. I can't remember the author but I'm going to look it up on Amazon and order it. It was too weird.
Just thought you would like to know. I think it's another good sign that Eric's going to be safe.

(The debate is over. Let's roll!)

You know, it's pretty amazing, Wphile, but we are still completely confident that Eric is going to be fine.
We don't know where he is or what he's doing, but we know that God is with him, protecting him wherever he goes.

(Saddam, you're going DOWN...............Sincerely, Eric)
To: ohioWfan
Just wanted you to know that several times today, I stopped whatever I was doing and said a special prayer for Eric. Of course I then mentioned all of our troops, but we all feel like Eric is one of ours you know!
I will continue to pray for him everyday until this is over and he is safely home, as I know he will be!
