The flag has been draped that way since 9/11/01 I believe. I think when Bush addressed the nation that night the flag had been turned that way and has stayed draped that way with the arrows in the talon ever since.

Yes, I'm sure the Iraqi people can make a lot better use of it than Saddam did.

I definitely noticed the flag. Nothing is left to chance or misinterpretation. My boss sure gave another great speech.

That is so comforting to know. And the photo through the window is so good.

I told mother to call me ANYTIME day or night if she needs
to talk or just hear my voice. I remember on 9/11 when she was attending
my one aunt's funeral right in the town in PA where one plane went down.
She was stuck back there for three weeks, and I felt like I was grieving over losing HER!
Her twin sister died the next day, 9/12/01, in Philly.
Difficult week for our family. I'm just now still working through all the emotions of that week.

NBC just reported the Saddam himself WAS the target of the early strikes. No word yet of success.

***Rita Cosby saying that Saddam and/or one of his sons could have been hit tonight. They have been following 5 key leaders and one of those five- maybe more, were in the target.***
Oh, please God, let that be right.

I bet that feels good to say that doesn't it. When I was teaching for DODDS last year and President Bush's photo was in the school office I always looked at it every morning and it gave me such peace knowing that it wasn't the despicable one anymore because the wheel had turned.

I'm not Catholic, but I don't do booze. Really would enjoy a glass of wine (rose) on occasion, but since I've been born again, anything alcohol (1/2 glass of wine) gives me a roaring headache and I wake up the next day feeling like I have been on a week-long drunk. To me, it's not worth the headache.

But a girl can surely dream of a hairy, ugly bloody head on a great big silver platter, can't she???
I know that sounds gross -- but war is hell and war is ugly. Evil will lose. Freedom & truth will prevail.
God bless the U.S.A. (no matter WHAT Hollywood says!)

When we are at war, isn't the eagle's head supposed to be facing the arrows? And if so, when do they change that on all the seals?
