I was just remembering the last Iraq election, all the people voting for Saddam - 100%
and in a week or 2 we will see all those people in the street cheering that he is gone.

Dennis Prager said tonight that a taxi driver in Baghdad, when asked by a reporter what the Iraqi citizens were doing responded, "Waiting for America."...and quietly applauded.
At 21:54, from the White House: "The war against Iraq has begun."
AP: "The United States has launched missile strikes against Iraqi leaders."
Tomakawk cruise missiles fired from destroyers in the Red Sea.

Tomahawk cruise missles fired V-chip targets? Were fired at Iraqi leadership posts.

All the reporters are referring to "target of opportunity"....does it have a moustache?
Jim Mik on NBC says this will be a first wave and then there'll be a pause.

Wouldn't it be quite fitting if the ground war started at the same time (Baghdad time) that the first plane hit the South Tower of the WTC?

Jim Mik said he was told this was NOT a new target, but one they'd known about for "several days". God bless our Spec Ops guys on the ground in Baghdad!
Wasn't it Patton who asked: "Where do we find such men?".

Could it be that our intelligence this time around is SO GOOD that we actually got Saddam early on??? Possible close aide??
To: MomwithHope
6 1/2 min. until Pres. Bush speaks - Surgical strikes aimed at Iraqi leaders outside Bagdad. No information as to whether they hit their intended targets. Saddam was there and that is who they were after but no information as to if they were successful.

Reporters confused on FoxNews. Saying that the WH did not tell them that the battle would begin tonight...heh. (^;

This 21st century warfare reminds me of the civil war when the ladies would put on their best pettycoats and bring a lunch basket to view the battle from a hillside.LOL!
It is very similar to this we see today.

Target of opportunity - translation - Saddam just threw one of his doubles out into the open. If true, then one double down, about 20 to go....
To: kcvl
"Saddam Hussein and sons are dead. The war is already over." Well, it'd be nice.
