France has every right to disagree with America. But France has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America.

French President Chirac warned East European nations that if they side with America, France will oppose their membership in the European Union.

This week, William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly helping to arm Iraq -- and has been helping Iraq build long range missiles. These same missiles may soon be used against American soldiers.

Just as France is exercising its right to disagree, Americans can exercise their right to boycott -- and avoid helping companies and countries that do no stand with America.

May I suggest that grand old sour mash Jack Daniels made in TN and owned by Americans. Once you've sipped Jack you'll never go back to the Turkey.

You can add Grey Goose vodka to your list. May I suggest Chopin or Belvedere. Both made in Poland. Smooth as a baby's behind and guaranteed "no hangover."

Safeway, where I shop has "comment cards" at each checkout. I grab a few, fill mine out requesting they stop purchasing French "stuff", then I give the remaining cards to friends and neighbors.

Perrier has bought many local bottle water companies. They have different names in different states. Mine used to be Aquacool & after Perrier bought them it is now Ice Mountain. Check who owns your local company.
