Yeah, there were lots of these kind of rumors at the beginning of GWI -- one was that Saddam was going into exile (imagine that one!)

"These rumors are just not true," a U.S. official told Reuters. The rumors affected oil prices in New York trading and also circulated in financial markets as the 8 p.m. EST deadline approached that President Bush set for Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his sons to leave Iraq or face war.
