The tyrant will soon be gone. With those words, President Bush left no doubt with Saddam Hussein or with the world that the years of a brutal dictatorship in Iraq will soon be over. In an address to the American people, and to the Iraqi people, Bush reiterated the many steps for diplomacy and peace that the United States and her allies have followed in the past 12 years- to no avail. The President told the Iraqis that their liberation is near and warned any Iraqi soldiers to think twice before releasing chemical or biological weapons. Bush also issued warnings to any terrorists that, 'If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences.' Earlier in the day, Bush met with congressional leaders and outlined tonights speech, and ultimately prepared them for military conflict. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I know I will.

I haven't had a chance to read all comments yet, but I just have to post my favorite quote from last night.
"Terrorists and terror states do not reveal these threats with fair notice, in formal declarations -- and responding to such enemies only after they have struck first is not self-defense, it is suicide. The security of the world requires disarming Saddam Hussein now."
Take that Mr. Daschle!! and get back in your hole.

You can see the pain, yet resolve, in our President's face. What a heavy burden he bears. We need to continue to lift him up in prayer as the hour of conflict draws near.
God Bless America and God Bless President Bush!

There is nothing so eloquent as the plain truth. The old, Decrepit Europe haven't heard such plain speaking in so long they didn't believe the president. He'll make believers of them, and the Iraqis, too. Pray for our president and our troops.

It opens your eyes to what thousands upon thousands of wives and mothers have done before, doesn't it?
When we watched Gods and Generals, I thought again about the mothers who had multiple sons fight.....sometimes on opposite sides, against each other in the Civil War, and how awful that must have been.
You have my earnest prayers, mystery.

I keep coming back to my fifth great grandfather who left a wife and two week old daughter and his fields full of crops, to join up with Washington's men a Valley Forge.
BTH went to see the musical 1776 this week end. Had seen it before in 1976. Remembered quite a bit of it, but had forgotten that NY always abstained. NO COMMENT :)

I missed my first royal ping last night. I must be cursed! Had connection problems. Thanks, Rintense, for adding me to your ping list. It was a wonderful speech. My husband had to listen on the radio and I told him he missed the steely eyed look on his face. These fab pictures will let him see what he missed.

I went to a Monkees Reunion Concert too. Took my daughter. It was supposed to be a treat for her, but secretly I just wanted to go. When we got there, most everyone was my age.

About what our Military has in the way of surprises.
Everyone seemed to be aware of the MOAB - Massive Ordnance Air Blast - at Eglin on 3/11/03. In fact, a FReeper, our own AF_Blue called in the blast 16 minutes before any of the news services or Fox News had it! How's that for breaking news? Or "scoop" as another put it.
But several weeks before that, they tested another phenomenal bomb. This thing can target a particular depth. Let me explain. If, for example, you are dropping it on a 22 -story building, and there is something on the 8th floor that you are really wanting to be destroyed, this bomb counts floors on the way down, and will blow up ON the 8th floor.
Ok, now imagine that you are dropping this puppy on a cave, and you want it to explode at, oh say, -288 feet? Yup - it counts and blows up exactly where you want it. Ain't that great?
Saddam - your underground palaces are toast. And we are coming to get you. You can run but you can't hide. We can get you, wherever you are. So leave the Country, and let us find all the chemical and biological stuff you've hidden, and set your people free.

I read the label more specifically; it's spelled Pure De-Lite and has 3.2 grams carbs per bar ($1.49 where I bought it). I got it at a local Discount Vitamins store (wow, they have
everything!), whose web site is (they have a mail order department):
Supersup.com
The Pure De-lite web site is PureDeliteProducts.com
