Bush has calmed down somewhat, but is still speaking, lecturing it can be said, the audience about the history and how he has gone to the UN for the sake of peace. For the UN to mean something, it must take itself seriously and act for peace. End of press conference.

Monday France bluffed but made the mistake of showing their cards.
On Monday the hand is called.

I'm not for this war with Iraq but your weather forecast for the region made me laugh out loud - literally. No matter what we must never lose our sense of humor. You speak for a lot of us, u-89. Saddam has left us with no alternative, so we buck up, learn a few more jokes, and get the job done.

Bush has become a statesman of valor!
Onward to the "moment of truth" TOMORROW!

[Bush: "Tomorrow is the day when we find if diplomacy can work".]
Is that clear enough?
Yes, it is. I got shnookered. They got off to a very subdued start. Diplomacy ends tomorrow, the liberation of Iraq shortly thereafter.

what was the question that caused him to snap like thatThe same old "Most countries don't agree..." crapola.
Man, he went off.
And he SLAMMED France at the end.
That question and answer session was a thing of beauty.
"Eat this liberal eurinals. Your time is over."

Brian Williams just making the point I made - Ron Fornier (sp?) who's question made the key point. Who knows, maybe these things are arranged ahead of time.

We need to get our war dead out of France. I wish!

Let's go to Normandy and bring home our brave soldiers who died in the defense of Freedom. Let's have a mass reburial of US honored dead at Arlington in celebration of Freedom in the 21st Century.

I said to my hub last night that if the Brits dont want him after this we should take him. Have him come to America, perhaps lead the UN. So many options that I never could have imagined for him. I felt him a Clinton wannabe for so long and while Clinton did nothing but create more problems Blair has truly risen to this history altering occasion on the side of good. : )

If I heard it right Bush just gave warning to the UN to get their act together!

amazing that it took the questions to see the fire...the three statements were nothing compared to the question answer session

This sure seems weaker than people expected. War within days? Hmmmmm, don't count on it.... Why don't you take a trip this week to Iraq and find out.

Bush and Blair sounded really good. I'm glad Bush mentioned the UN's role to Kosovo and Rwanda.
