Also, Spain has the best olives.
My sister made a co-worker cry yesterday because the girl's mother is a teacher and taking the class to France over the summer.
I'm so proud of her.

I am with you 100% on Spain. I have been so impressed with their presentation at the United Nations and not waffling at all. She is one tough lady and is beginning to remind me of Margaret Thatcher.
Would expect the summit to be 2-1 as well and that time for negotiation is ended.

as Rush Limbaugh has suggested. Saddam has not be overthrown - the bluff has failed. Saddam seems to know that Bush is bluffing. Rush doesn't know what he is talking about .. and in time, it will be proven

Yes indeed, I tell you I'm gettin' to dig Spain (sounds like some great weather for a vacation too). I'm thinking some German military bases need to be moved to a much better climate...

I didn't watch it, but from the remarks here, it appears he was pandering to the Muslims re the Palestinians... Sigh...

"This is all about making the UN stronger and I am sick of it."
This has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MAKING THE UN STRONGER!

My wife has been bugging me to go to Spain and Italy for years. Right now those two countries sound like a good place to spend a vacation and some of our $'s.
However, the first trip will be to the UK for a great vacation and a thank you to those who have supported us since 9/11.

Yes -- that is absolutely correct...and now that you bring it up, we're going to be overflying Jordan (from British bases) as well and there's been a lot of talk about another front out of northwestern Saudi Arabia. I think you hit on something here: This could be as simple as the required statement from the President (with Powell mute alongside) in order to get agreement from Saudi Arabia (and maybe Jordan) to use their territory to take out Saddam.
Quite unlike further negotiation at the U.N. -- this may have been a simple bi-lateral (or multi-lateral) necessity to the "go order".
I think you've got it.

If I remember correctly, I read a week or two ago (it might've been in the Jerusalem Post) that we were NOT going to be doing anything on the Quartet's plan for a while and that the EU, UN and Russia were frustrated by our inaction. Then Yasser names one of his cronies to the PM spot, gives him little or no power, the EU, UN and Russia thinks it's marvy and gush over Yasser's decision. The clock keeps ticking. We need Security Council votes for the Iraq resolution....and all of sudden the President and Colin Powell come out to the Rose Garden and Bush gives this speech and will be flying off to the Azores (the Azores? Why there?) to meet with Blair and Aznar.
Does this mean the French will not veto? How about Russia? What about China? What about those six p---ant countries that hold the swing votes?
This is making me crazy.

I needed a second cup of coffee after launching ICBM's from the Red Sea.
Silly me, the ICBM's can be launched from many of the oceans around Iraq if needed. We don't need them. The new MOAB will do just fine in removing their Republican National Guard thugs.

This is the bone he's throwing the Arabs to tell them that after Iraq, we're going to stroke their grievances. This should be another tipoff that we're going into Iraq, soon. Sounds like we are getting closer

I'm thinking my next trip to Europe is definitely going to be to spend my money in the warm climes of Spain. Great history, great beaches, great food, some rather attractive female-types (my wife didn't hear that), a rock-solid NEW EUROPE government and society. So what's not to like?
To: Scott from the Left Coast
and they've been great, but SPAIN is a comer in my book. Now there's a country ready to come back into the prime time after 400 years out.Maybe we should thank them by giving Puerto Rico back to them?

Interesting perspective you have. Israeli/Palestinian peace just a yawn!
