If Iraq thinks Israel will retaliate if attacked, why would Iraq still attack Israel? Do they really think their Arab (muslim) neighbors would side with Iraq against Israel? </>

One Scud missle full of VX Gas could kill a lot of Isrealis. I suspect that moving the Scuds to a position to reach Isreal might be sufficient to trigger a preemptive nuclear strike by Isreal.

The limitation on the distance Iraq's missiles can go is less than the distance to Israel. That is what that distance limitation is about. But of course, we now know that Saddam lies JUST A BIT. I would think he would use a mass of suicide bombers WITH CHEMICALS or the hand held missiles which have a range of about 24 miles I think.
