'Pi times the radius squared {not the square of the radius},,

I've been out of school awhile, but isn't the square of a number the same as the number squared? i.e. Twenty five squared equals 625 and the square of 25 is 625. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks

I have been out of school many years too!! So I am the blind leading the probably less blind but I thought the square of a number was the square root. Like the square of 4 is 2 rather than 16. But Hey, I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

"Greta just announced that bin Laden's location has now been narrowed to a 25 mile radius."

Right and pigs fly! What ever happened to Mansoor Ijaz two weeks and we will have Bin Laden? Times UP! This is just stupidity at its finest....

The square root of 4 is 2.

4 squared is 16 (or, another way to say it is 'the square of 4 is 16').

And the word 'square' is really strange when you look at it too long.

"Is there a time limit on bagging bin Laden?"

According to Mansoor Ijaz we would have been Laden in two weeks after the last arrests in Pakistan! If one does not know what ones is talking about then one should shut up and say nothing....Meaning Ijaz just making stupidity...

Lord, PLEASE make it true.

Let him be captured alive with tons of data clearly implicating all the cells and especially the nuke efforts.

Let all his senior aids be captured alive.

Keep him encircled and increasingly helpless, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

He seems well informed to me. The prediction business is a risky one but no reason to get all upset about.

Less than two weeks ago, I remember Ijaz saying that we were "weeks, if not days" away from finding him. I never heard him say two weeks.

If he's really still alive, I believe we will find him soon. In the infamous words of Marty Feldman as Igor, "Call it a hunch." Bah-dump-bum, pssssh.

I hope Greta knows what she is talking about. Then again, she hasn't had a good track record.

Methinks bin Laden is a grease spot in Tora Bora. Happened Dec. 12th 2001. If I' m wrong, then let me see a photo of binny boy with a current edition of the NYT.

How can anyone know he is within a 25 mile radius without knowing precisely where he is??

Perhaps they picked up a cell phone call with his voice, and were able to figure out which tower his cell phone used. Then they know that that particular tower has a service area of 25 kilometers, and thus they know he's within that radius. Maybe the same thing for a satellite phone: they know that the sat phone broadcast to a particular set of coordinates. He's in remote Pakistan, and they probably don't have cell phone towers, but you never know. Might be easier than land lines.

The square of 4, or another way to put it, 4 squared, is 16 and the square root of 16 is 4. etc,

Yes it is, its 1963 sq miles.

25 mile radius.

Area of a circle = Pi x radius squared.
