But...but...there is no connection between Bin Laden and Saddam. And besides, the Americans have already won...my Prime Minister told me so!
Pardon me while I bang my head against the wall.

He's some kind of a guy. I went to school with his son. I met him the first time in Venezuela when he put out a big fire for Socony in the mid 50s. I was about 12 or so.
Just an aside, but he was quite a character.

Beware of joggers in the oilfields trying to light their shoes on fire.ROFLMAO.
And I know, I'm punchdrunk from reading all this crap today, but that is funny.

I've seen a lot of stuff about him; just last week, he was interviewed on one of the cable shows.
They don't make 'em like him anymore.

So a well placed investment in selected oil service stocks would be well advised at this point?

Let's hope that Bush and Powell stall things at the UN for a couple more months, so that the enemy can get thoroughly organized.

My guess is that because it has long been a dream of the
fundamentalists to rule Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, they have been recruiting these type of terrorists for many years just in case they are needed.

Well ... we did that last time - but it still cost $5 BILLION to stop the fires and clean up the oil mess.

The bulk of our oil is refined offshore....We have some exposure from the Alaska pipline but damage to the pipeline can be repaired quickly...
An Al Queda attack here will probably be focused on true terror attacks and not tactical (refinery) attacks.....
They'll want head count here not barrels.....

Since I'm somewhat ignorant on domestic pipelines, what about the security of the natural gas lines and substations (I guess that's what they are called?)???

Invest in Red Buttons or whatever that guy's name is that puts out the fires. LOL! Nah, it was Red Skelton! He can put out an ol far with just a goofy look!
One of the gals at work has a husband who is a firefighter. She had a (red) plastic fireman on top of her monitor. I had to say it:
"That's 'Red' Adair, right?"

Perhaps Gertz reporting has headed off possible terrorist attacks.
To: RandallFlagg
couldn't we simply drop a big, asbestos dome over a flaming well and seal off all the O2 from the fire?Asbestos???
I love it! What a conundrum for the EnviroNazis! Forced to make a choice between never-ending black sooty smoke, or [gasp!] using asbestos to put out a fire.
