**He was go-to-war serious.**
I could see this too. Very tactful and conscious of what he was saying, yet not mincing his words.

**Another thing Bush said that night in Cincinnati is a message for the anti-war protesters who can't see the plain truth: "I'm not about polls and focus groups." Protest all you want. We have a leader, not a weather vane. We have a president."**
And thank you, President Bush, for being that president.

**Some people just don't get it. But we are going to war because of what happened on that morning, Sept. 11, 2001 - to make sure those kids in that classroom don't grow up in a world of terror.
Nobody wants war. But read my lips: President Bush will not back down. Thank God.**
Amen!

I've never heard of this guy, but really enjoyed the article!Peter Bronson is the senior editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer. He's consistantly conservative in his viewpoint, in fact in todays Enquirer he went after some of the University of Miami (Ohio) liberals who recently fired a student who wrote a conservative piece in a campus paper. Peter Bronson, a self proclaimed one time hippie, writes excellent articles on a broad range of issues.

I think we should go over to some of the ex-communist countries and buy up some of the government built housing, disasimble it, ship it overhere, rebuild it on the old urban renewal properties that we have an abundance and move all those hate America people in there and let them shop in nearly empty stores and make them wait in line for toilet paper.

Here is Bronson's reply:

Thank you for your kind note.
We used to be a conservative paper, but now we are "moderate,'' which is how liberals say "liberal.'' Yes, I was a protester, but unlike a lot of others who did that, I grew up.
Best wishes,
Peter Bronson

Subject: Your Column
I never heard of you before today and never read your paper. But I applaud what you wrote about the good and honest reason Pres. Bush has to free Iraq.
Your city and your paper are probably liberal from all I hear so this might get you fired. You were once a VietNam protester?

"So let it be written, so let it be done".
That would be Yul Brenner as Pharaoh Rameses in the "Ten Commandments" I think..
DING DING DING... YOU A WINNA..
Technically is was Rameses II...but still nice job :-)

Nobody wants war. But read my lips: President Bush will not back down.Reminds me a lot of President Reagan. He wouldn't back down from Russia or "Reaganomics." He had everyone screaming at him and the congress was stacked with Democrats! I really admire the man.
Can you imagine Clintoon going against the polls?
WINNER!
LOSER!

Man, what a difference those two faces represent. One is brave, the other is a smirking idiot. Acchh. Clinton will always make me sick to my stomach.

I grew up in Cincy...it was one of the MOST coservative cities and the Enquirer was also......then they elected Jerrry Springer, and it's been in the toilet ever since. They also elected a lesbian, and the city burned.
To: veronica
The left despises Bush because he's a Conservative Christian.
