Dell Dude participating in anti-war protests

If you want to listen to anti-war protesters - who despite their hijacking of that once noble label actually help exacerbate that which they claim to oppose - you can do so in the audio link below.

Dude, You're Enabling One of the Worst Dictators in History! (The proof: Rush's Stack of Saddam Stuff)
I'll tell you, my patience with these appeasers and enablers of evil is wearing thin. I don't suffer fools gladly even in the best of times. I'll make an exception, though, for the yutes of America - that's the only time you have an excuse to be stupid. Case in point is Ben Curtis. You may know him from his portrayal of an idiot in the Dell computer commercials and his catch phrase, "Dude, you're getting a Dell!" or from his recent pot arrest.
If he were my kid, he'd get a one-way ticket to Baghdad. Saddam's response to this kind of dissent would be, "Dude, you're getting your tongue nailed to a board!" Of course I'm not saying we should have that here, but it's a point that needs to be made to these students who act like we're the evil ones. This is the height of idiocy.
One protester complained that we were spending money on "a bomb we'll use once" and "cutting education." We're not cutting anything! And if we were, Ted Kennedy would be to blame because he wrote the education bill at President Bush's behest. The Dell dude - who's desperate to be taken seriously after building this image as an idiot - spouted clichés such as "killing doesn't end killing." A valley girl quipped, "The money could be better spent on better education, health care, child care, training or jobs or anything." This isn't money spent on war, you idiots. This is money spent for peace and freedom.

The Dell guy is from Chattanooga. He went to McCallie School, a very exclusive prep school downtown. Several of my friends at UT were friends with him in high school.

"Dude, you're getting a Dell!""Dude, you're going to Hell!"
Oh wait, I'm an atheist. Oh well, the sentiment still stands.

Your us of "UT" caught me off guard. Most people register UT as representing the state of Utah, and I don't think Chattanooga is anywhere's near Utah! Then it clicked, oh University of Tennessee!
Right?

(The two letter designation for states stinks, too many of them can stand for too many states.)
To: webber
Yes, of course. I don't want to sound mean, but that's a pet peeve of mine. The University of Tennessee was founded in 1794 long before Utah or the University of Texas, Toledo, etc. Usually, I figure my name will give it away, if not, my profile clears up any confusion.

It is indeed so. One does not have to be a belleving Jew or Christian to be culturally Judeo-Christian and conservative.

One does not have to be a belleving Jew or Christian to be culturally Judeo-Christian and conservative. I'm happy we're on the same team (but not even an agnostic?)

Oh my, Bush will have to listen now. First Barbra Striesand and now the Dell Dude. How can Bush even consider going to war with all these great authorities on foreign affairs advising him not to? [/sarchasm]
To: 7 x 77
Nope, sorry. But familiar enough with the Bible to understand your screen name, and as you say, on the same team. Ew, did I really spell "believing" that way? Yikes, better pull myself away from The Birdcage and pay attention to my typing.

There is only one UT. It is in Austin. :P

Sorry, but according to the University of Texas's website, the school was started in 1883. That's about 90 years after The University of Tennessee was started, giving us prior claims to UT.

Does pot destroy cognitive function and cause one to become a liberal?
Or does one choose to be a dope smoking liberal because he already has brain damage?
And where does valley talk come in?
And is the foundational difference between liberals and conservatives moral or intellectual?

Although you're on the right side politically, please rethink this "athiest" bit. 'The fool has said in his heart "there is no God"'(Psalms 14:1)
To: TAIPAN22001
'The fool has said in his heart "there is no God"'(Psalms 14:1) No offense, but why would a quote from someone who believes in God saying "anyone who doesn't believe as I do is a fool" be persuasive?
To: rs79bm
You mean he's out of jail already?
I agree I thought that dude was getting a cell
