"They were arrested from Rabat area in Afghanistan," he told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. In Washington, U.S. counterterrorism officials strongly disputed reports saying bin Laden's sons were captured. They said they had no information that would suggest any of the sons had been detained.

Zehri refused to say which military units were involved.

"They were allied forces," he said, operating near Rabat in the extreme southwestern tip of Afghanistan where it borders Pakistan and Iran.

Some sources claim Bin Laden has at least 23 children by several wives. Saad is one the oldest, in his early 20s and has emerged as an al-Qaida leader and one of America's top two dozen targets in the network. Mohammed and Ahmed bin Laden also support their father's efforts, U.S. officials say.

'Very Important' Al Qaeda Man Among Nine Arrested PAK Tribune ^ | 3/7/03 | n/a

Posted on 03/07/2003 2:59 AM CST by JustPiper

QUETTA, March 07 (Online): The American and local agencies Thursday arrested 9 Al-Qaeda suspects who may include Osama Bin Laden or his son near Shamshi airport near the Pak- Afghan border areas, sources said.

The sources added that the agencies were quite active in search operations for the last two days.

They maintained that at least one "very important" Al-Qaeda man (who may be Osama Bin Laden or his son) was also among the detainees.

The sources suggested that the operation near Chaghi could well be the follow up of reports that arrested Al-Qaeda suspect Sheikh Khalid Mohammed had told investigators about the whereabouts of Osama.

The detained suspect had reportedly told the investigators that Osama had met him in mountainous regions of frontier areas near Balochistan.

Sheikh Khalid along with two other suspects was arrested from Rawalpindi by the agencies. He was later handed over to the United States.

Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed when contacted showed ignorance about the incident.

"I don't have any information about this operation. I can't say anything", he told Online.

Presidential spokesman Maj. Gen. Rashid Qureshi also said that he had no knowledge about the incident. "No, nothing. I don't know", he told Online.

The US meanwhile has also put the Jamaat-e-Islami in the watch list suspecting alleged links with Al-Qaeda.

The religious parties in Pakistan, already furious over possibility of US attack on Iraq, have shown strong reaction to the arrest of Sheikh Khalid Mohammed and others.

The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal led by Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani vows to fight the "aggressor" US until the end.

FOX CONFIRMING THAT SAAD IS ONE OF THE CAPTURED.

#1A confirmed neutralized, the fact that he exists as #1A suggests that #1 is more-permanently neutralized. I guess they were visiting Pappy's grave.

Oh, that Pelo$i=Pile-O-$hit!

I was told by a former rat supporter thatPelo$i=Pile-O-$hit and Boxer Shorts are two really dumb broads. (This is coming from a woman.)

Pelo$i=Pile-O-$hit's handlers apparently tremble in fear whenever she says anything that is not scripted and rehearsed.

If true, Da$$hole, the Hildebea$t, Boxer $horts and the ever dumb Pelo$hi will have to change their Depends several times today.

ROFLMAO...It's a great time to be alive. Last night GW put the stake in the UN's weak a$$ heart, today we catch a couple of rotten SOB-L's and for the next couple of weeks the parties you mentioned above are gonna need a case of talcum powder to cure the rash caused by CONSTANT Depends usage.

I can just hear 'em, "How can we win the against Iraq when Bush tries to distract us with this bin Laden announcement?"

The more I wear this tagline, the better I like it.
