Mexico never was and never will be our friend. Friends don't invade another; only enemies do. Mexico is invading our country with the blessing of their government.

Who would expect Mexico to be with us. They were not with us in WWI, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam or any other war that I can bring to mind.We fought Japan in WWII and I read here on FR today that they are with us regarding Iraq. Times and regimes change and I don't believe in writing off a country forever. If they join with us in this effort we would welcome it.

To be honest, his voive was crackking badly in the last speech he gave- he's been doing way too much talking for way too long.
Kind of like having to repeat over and over simply concepts to the peopole over at DU...

Powell: Leadership of Iraq has made strategic decision not to disarm
To: cyncooper
I just wish Powell had the balls to tell these bastards they have consigned themselves to the same status as the League of Nations and that this useless bunch of beggars have 4 hours to get the hell out of the US.

Bush is going to say something about this? Will come out and say that Blix said yea or nay?
Powell saying that Iraq has made its choice. Security council membership carries responsibility. He's getting ready to drop the hammer.

I guess Saad can answer once and for all if Usama is dead or not.

Iraq is not disarming... and now the UN must decide if they will do what they said they would do.
To: goodnesswins

I hope the WH publicizes this capture of Saad correctly. As the capture of an up and coming AQ leader. That point needs to be stressed I think

Colin must feel betrayed
Think how betrayed Powell must have felt last summer when he decided not to go to a 'human rights' UN meeting in South Africa - because he (a high ranking American with African heritage), as an official representative of the US, was going to be publicly humiliated by the reps of African countries if he showed up.
He has no love for those creeps in the UN.

You would never know this report existed from the report Blix gave! Blix is being shown to be a total fool with Powell using this report!
