Blix needs to grow up. This is deadly serious business, and he is
NOT a Rock Star.
No wonder France voted for 1441
they knew Hans would be their ace-in-the-hole.

I seen that.
They were dragging Blix through all the mud he has made for himself, it was great.

Just give old Hans ten more years and I'm sure he will find everything.
To: Aggie Mama
He means what he says and they don't know how to handle that.President Bush says what he means and means what he says. I recorded his press conference last night. He WAS sending a message.

Looks like the main C-SPAN, and CNBC just said they'll cover it (so you can lose your breakfast twice).

A prayer:
Almighty God
Please free us from the pestilence
Of my congressman Nelson
Please let FOX news know
That we can do without him for the rest of the day
If not for the rest of the week-
Rest of his term in office
Whichever ends first.
Father,
Must we have a perpetual living example
Of why liberals should never be allowed to have
Authority in the realm of foreign policy?
surely this is too much to bear
Seeing his grinning face
On my satellite TV news
For the rats will delegate their constitutional authority
To whatever international organization
Makes them feel most like "citizens of the world"
Rather than servents of our people
They will eat out the heart of America
And sacrifice it to foreign idols
We ask you to save us from the smooth words
And give us strength to endure to the next election
We thank You for giving us this one opportunity this morning
To learn that astronauts are not neccessarily what they are cracked up to be
That they are better off working in space
Than in congress
Because they are too far out
And have been short of oxygen way too long
To have a clue about how to deal with hostile nations
We thank you for this lesson, Lord
And beseech You to spare us from yet another one of Nelson's tirades
About how we are not coddling the Germans
as they deserve to be coddled
For graciously selling the Iraqis the means to gas US troops
Or about how we are not properly bowing and scraping
To please French surrender monkies
Or how we are not trying to avoid offending The Axis of Weasels
Over that little deal where the French
Sold the Iraqis jet engines this January
So that Saddam Hussein can last long enough
To pay off some of their debts To Old Europe
This should be much more realistic
And require much less effort
Than my prayer that You grant the Democrats uncharacteristic wisdom
Amen.

I saw that interview with Gibson. The gent's name was Per Ahlmark and you're right, he was a former Swedish deputy prime minister. His opinion of Blix was far from favorable. He cited the episode of the Iraqi man who attempted to enter a UN inspector's vehicle while clutching papers to his chest. The man was screaming "save me", but the inspector looked the other way allowing Iraqi police to take him away. (The man is now missing, presumed dead.) When Blix was questioned about the release of an Iraqi national who possibly had damning information, his response was pitiful. He said the man should have chosen a more elegant way of approaching the UN.
