I'm listening to Frenchie the Frog, and all he can say is that war will bring so many problems. So Frenchie, if you telegraph to Saddam that you are not willing to back up your words/demands/expectations/wishes/hopes et al, then why in the hell do you think Saddam would meet your expectations???
This is so illogical that it is comical.

Villipong says that Iraq complying with inspections.
I want what he's been smoking.
Iraq is acting like it wants to comply because it has 300,000+ American troops ready to bugsplat them!

That's it, I have to turn this off. The French are now talking about the costs of war and the grieving families. And the tears of the families over the last 15+ years are not as significant?
He's talking about our common values, he can speak for himself. I would never dare stand before the world and talk about the costs of war knowing the hell that now exists for the citizens of Iraq.

I think he will give a deadline for Security Council to Vote. Tues/Wed latest, IMHO. Probably after the Sec Council delegates all get to yap. before evening news. I think it would have been better to not talk about a new UN vote (which would go against us) and just go in immediately after Blix's report. We already have a UN resolution authorizing use of force of Iraq does not comply

The Surrender Monkeys need to read this story: Agony of mother set ablaze by Iraqis (the Real Saddam in action)

Shortly after three o'clock on a hot afternoon 37-year-old Nazif Mamik Tofik, an Iraqi Kurd, approached the border post carrying two five-gallon canisters of fuel.
She hoped to cross to the Kurdish-controlled side and sell them for a pound or two, which would help feed her eight hungry children.
As she stepped up to the Iraqi checkpoint, a military policeman suddenly pulled a knife, slashed open the flimsy plastic containers and splashed petrol all over her.
Then the head of the Iraqi border guard casually walked up to her, pulled a lighter from his pocket and set her ablaze. Soaked in fuel, she began to burn like a torch. That was on Monday afternoon. Yesterday Nazif lay in Sulaimania emergency hospital, on the Iraqi side, whimpering with pain. She had third degree burns and doctors said she was lucky to be alive....

I am currently reading a book on the first Gulf War. The UN inspectors would have never found the tanks burried in the sand back then. Huge tanks!
The only way our military knew they were there was because during the day the sun heated the sand, and the sand heated the medal of the tanks. We found them using heat sensors and bombed them.
How the UN thinks it can find WMD burried under all that sand is beyond me. My guess is that they don't want to find them. They're just trying not to start any waves.
They weren't attacked, and they have $$ business with Iraq. They're putting their interests before the American people. If we get attacked by Saddams WMD, via Saddam or Al Quata, they'll simply call another UN meeting to discuss it!
While listening to Blix today, a thought popped into my head that it didn't matter what happens next. Saddam has already distributed his WMD to those who want to see America destroyed. Saddam has been givin too much time. and I fear we will be attacked by these weapons no matter what. When war starts, or even if it doesn't. I hope I'm wrong.
